Tube Profiling System (TPS)

The Jodon TPS-2000 is designed to inspect cooling tubes produced by a tube mill. The typical method for manufacturing these tubes is by tube mill, and this process involves these tubes exiting the mill at a high rate of speed, making in-line measurement nearly impossible. With this in mind, the TPS-2000 is an incredibly accurate and easy to use gauging system for maintaining high quality in tubes.

The TPS uses a highly accurate laser emitter coupled with an integral reflected light collector and imaging array to provide a profile of the exterior of the tube. Complex features such as dimples and root circle diameter can be measured precisely and repeatably with this instrument.

The tube sample fixture is held by a precision mechanical linear stage that allows for the sample to move in X, Y and Z directions. The stage itself rotates as well, allowing for full profiling of the sample. 

A top-mounted camera facing the end of the sample is offered as an option, allowing for more precise profiling of the major dimensions of the tube.
